Miyajima Island

This is Ohtorii Gate at low tide. The day could not have been more beautiful.

Miyajima Island is a world heritage site, but even with all of the crowds, Miho, my host, and I found spots where we could have the day to ourselves.


Watching leaves change is a popular spectator sport all over Japan, but especially on the Island.
